Sending you my heartfelt condolences. I lost my dad early last year, and it felt like nothing made sense. I had already lost my mom three years earlier, and the devastation was overwhelming. In many ways, my dad's passing pushed me to take my writing seriously—honouring his passion for words by carrying his legacy forward. Even now, the pain is still very real, but I find solace in reflecting on the beautiful life he lived and the one I continue to build in his memory. I understand how deep loss can be, and I hope you find comfort in the cherished memories of your mom.
Thanks so much, Stella. I appreciate your sharing and your kind words. We lost my dad 5 years ago, and then my mom was diagnosed with aggressive cancer in 2022. She outlived her prognosis by more than a year and a half, but the end still came as a shock. I was by her side when she passed, so I take comfort in that as well.
Your dad and mom's memories will continue to offer you warmth and strength during these times. I do not doubt that you will get through this. All the very best and do take care.

Thank you.
I just thought of an audiobook that I just started listening to to prepare for such a thing if there's any way to prepare
Dr. Sethi, she's here on Substack. It's called. Joy Is My Justice. about loss....
Thanks, Kathleen. I may check that one out.
it's really good she's on Substack. I actually spoke to her about it and she suggested it. Smart and compassionate doctor for sure.
Warren, trying to think of something to say and my mind just goes blank. I can't even imagine...
I will add you to my daily prayers and keep you in my thoughts.
Is there anything I can do (from a distance) to help? I want to. I can listen.
I'm so sorry. I'm here if you need anything at all. 24/7 and I really mean it.🤗🙏
Thank you for that, Kathleen.
Hi Warren,
I recall reading a great book years ago that helped me during a difficult time of transition, uncertainty, and confusion.
Uncertainty. Jonathan Fields (2011)
Wishing you the best.

Thank you, Larry. I appreciate the suggestion and your thoughtfulness.
